About Pompton Lakes
Pompton Lakes is a borough in Passaic County, NJ. As of the 2024 census it has a population of 11,156. It was established in 1895 based upon the results of a referendum. The borough is named after the Pompton people, a sub-tribe of Native Americans that lived in the area. Pompton Lakes is bordered by the Passaic County municipalities of Bloomingdale, Wanaque and Wayne.
