About Westfield NJ 07090
Westfield is a town in Union County, NJ. As of the 2019 census, it has a population of approximately 29,877. The old village area, which is now the downtown district, was settled in 1720 as part of the Elizabethtown tract. It was incorporated as a town in 1903, replacing Westfield Township, which had been incorporated in 1798. Westfield’s name comes from being located in the “west fields of Elizabeth”. It is bordered by the Union County towns of Mountainside, Springfield, Garwood, Cranford, Clark, and Scotch Plains.
