About Tinton Falls NJ 07724
Tinton Falls is a borough in Monmouth County, NJ. As of the 2020 census, it has a population of approximately 19,181. It was formed as New Shrewsbury in 1950 by an act of the New Jersey Legislature. The name was changed to Tinton Falls in 1975 to avoid postal errors. The name is from Lewis Morris’s plantation “Tinton Manor” as it contained a gristmill, making it one of New Jersey’s earliest bustling mill towns. Tinton Falls is bordered by the Monmouth County municipalities of Colts Neck, Eatontown, Middletown, Neptune, Ocean, Red Bank, Shrewsbury and Wall.
