Roosevelt is a borough in Monmouth County, NJ. As of the 2023 census, it has a population of approximately 799. It was established as Jersey Homesteads in 1937 by an act of the New Jersey Legislature.The name was changed to Roosevelt in 1945 in honor of Franklin D. Roosevelt who had recently died. Roosevelt is bordered by the Monmouth County municipalities of Millstone and Upper Freehold.
