About Montville NJ 07045

Montville is a township located in Morris County NJ. As of the 2018 census it has a population of approximately 21,330. It was incorporated as a township in 1867 by an act of the New Jersey Legislature. The Mandebille Inn was established around 1770 (pronounced Mondevil by the Dutch, and later corrupted to Montville). The township’s name is also attributed to its location among the mountains of northern New Jersey. Montville is bordered by the Morris County municipalities of Boonton, Boonton Township, East Hanover, Kinnelon, Lincoln Park and Parsippany-Troy Hills.
