About Clifton 07011-07015
Clifton is a city in Passaic County, NJ. As of the 2020 census, it has a population of approximately 90,296. It was incorporated as a city in 1917 by an act of the New Jersey Legislature. This replaced Aquackanonk Township. The city’s name stems from the cliffs of Garrett Mountain which border it on the western side. Clifton is bordered by the Passaic County municipalities of Little Falls, Passaic, Paterson and Woodland Park.
