About Harrison NJ 07029

Harrison is a town in the western part of Hudson County, NJ. As of the 2019 census, it has a population of approximately 17,213. After a long early history, Harrison Township was established in 1840. This stemmed from a land grant awarded to William Sandford in 1668. The name Harrison was adopted from William Henry Harrison, who was elected president of the United States in 1840. Harrison is bordered by the Hudson County municipalities of East Newark and Kearny.
